Firestone Walker Brewery Tour

Kiel and I had the privilege of visiting Firestone Walker this past weekend for their annual invitational beer festival. I also greatly anticipated visiting the brewery for the very first time! Tours are free, and are available frequently throughout the day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The tour was incredibly informative, and inspiring to see…

Central Coast Brewing’s Original Chai Ale

I recently visited one of my all-time favorite bottle shops in California, BEERCRAFT, a little slice of heaven, in Rohnert Park. BC is a great spot right off the 101 to check out, in between stops at Russian River, or Lagunitas. While I was there, I was happy to this AHHHHMAZING Original Chai Ale from…

My November Favorites

Another month flew by, and the beers were always plentiful. Like many others, I was introspective on what I was thankful for. I just recently celebrated an anniversary with a wonderful man who encourages my love for beer blogging, with surprises of hard to find bottles, takes photos for me (I have shaky hands!), and…

Some Recent Goodies

This past weekend, we decided to not go out of town, and stay at home. We went out to my favorite steakhouse where they had both Sierra Nevada Celebration IPA, and Tioga Sequoia Tamarack Amber Lager on draft. So while I had my dinner I got to sip on some good brews too. This weekend…

My October Favorites

October was a month of good fortune when it comes to beer for K and I. We were lucky to visit Sierra Nevada for their Single, Fresh, Wet and Wild festival, and sample what felt like hundreds of beers. We also visited Southern California again, and visited The Bruery, and Bootlegger’s Brewing. I feel a little biased in…

Bootleggers!

After our trip to The Bruery, we made it over to Fullerton, California, to Bootleggers. I only had a couple beers of theirs, before this visit. Their brewery and tap room was in a warehouse, and reminded me of my Sacramento friends, Track7. My beertender was incredibly helpful, as I told him which beers I…

My Visit to The Bruery

This last weekend, K and I drove down to Orange County for a trip to Disneyland. The day before we had a beerventure, starting in Placentia. This was my first trip to The Bruery, and I absolutely loved it. It was not incredibly busy, but all tables were full.  I had ordered a flight to…

Awesome Bottle Shares

Here are some photos from recent bottle shares I’ve either hosted, of attended. There’s far too many beers to talk about, but what has really stood out to me are the sours we shared. Cascade’s The Vine, and The Bruery’s Sans Pagaie were both incredibly flavorful, tart, but not overpowering to the point it affected…

Heavy Beer Season!

I recently drank an Imperial Tanilla Porter from Knee Deep Brewing, and while sipping on this high ABV porter, it reminded me fall was on its way. I’m not the biggest pumpkin fan, so stouts and porters are more of my fall/winter beers. This beer had almost a year on it, and with a high…

My August Favourites

As you can see, this month I managed to take photos of all my favorites I had this month. The Ruhstaller Triple was incredibly fresh, light, but had a full bodied golden taste with hints of spice. The Or Xata from the Bruery was the fraternal beer twin to my favorite rice milk drink. Heavy…

My July Favourites

July was a month of great beers for me! My boyfriend went back home to the east coast for half a week, and brought me back a box of goodies to make up for being gone. I swear I’m the luckiest girl in all of Bedford Falls. 🙂 Here are my standouts, and if you…

Bottle Share!

A few friends and I had a bottle share this past Friday. From the two photos, you can see what crazy good stuff we tried and sampled. From some Founders stuff to Bruery to some Firestone Walker, there was a great assortment. The 14 was my absolutely favourite and went amazingly well with dark chocolate.
