K and I split a can of this with breakfast this morning, and wow. We both agreed that this was a porter we have been waiting for, and here it was. It’s heavy and malty like a good porter should be, and it’s got a good note of chocolate and the coconut adds a level of subdued sweetness. It’s not overpowering by any means, and there is still a nice smokiness to the porter, as well. These flavours add up to one very flavorful, and easy to drink beer. I would recommend this to someone who wants to start exploring darker beers, as it still has the sweetness to it. I would also recommend this to someone who already knows how much they like dark beers, too!
